In the interest of preserving the planet, more and more car manufacturers are putting eco-friendly vehicles on the market. We present some of them in this article.
The most ecological means of transportation
There are ecological means of transport which, although not very accessible, tend to be democratized. Car manufacturers, in particular, are working to generalize these means.
The bicycle
Although it is one of the oldest means of transportation since the horse, the bicycle remains a must for ecological transportation. Indeed, apart from the strength of your muscles, it does not need any fuel to move. Only mechanical, the bicycle, the scooter or the rollerblade do not release any greenhouse gas. The impact on the planet is therefore neutral during each of your trips.
The electric bike
More recent than the bicycle, the electric bike is also more practical, because it allows you to cross steeper terrain without effort. With the electric battery, you benefit from a pedaling assistance during important efforts.
Thanks to this mechanism, you can move faster, up to 30-40 km / hour, and arrive without sweating. With this electric battery, there are no greenhouse gas emissions. Your trips are therefore neutral in terms of pollution. On the other hand, it will be advisable to take into account the impact of the manufacture of a battery as well as the recharging of this one and the origin of the consumed electricity.
The electric car
Hybrid cars are those that run on both electricity and fuel. When the fuel runs out, the electric power can take over. Other models allow you to use only electric power if the vehicle is running at low speed, especially when traveling in the city. For professional urban travel, it is undoubtedly the ideal ecological means of transport.
Scooter with engine
For short trips, you can also use a motorized scooter for urban travel. The built-in motor makes it completely environmentally friendly. If the eclectic scooter is not ideal to go to an official business meeting, it is still ideal to move from one meeting to another independently, and without the need to use a polluting car.
The gyropod
The electric gyropod is both fun and ecological. It is also an ideal means of locomotion for short trips in town. It is not uncommon to see serious businessmen, in suit and tie, proudly riding a gyropod. It allows to move fluidly and quickly, while respecting mother nature.
The company travel plan
The company travel plan allows to optimize the travel of the workers in the company. Many companies have decided to invest in it, by providing their employees with ecological and practical means of transportation. If public transport or carpooling are often preferred, ecological means of transport are also preferred options.
Car-sharing and car-pooling
If you can’t use environmentally friendly transportation such as a bicycle or electric vehicle, use collaborative systems. Carpooling or car sharing can greatly reduce the environmental impact of your travel.
Indeed, when you take a carpool, you save a whole trip per person on board the vehicle. The environmental impact is therefore significant. In the same way, car-sharing allows you to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, thanks to a mechanism of vehicle loans between individuals or within companies.
Public transport
Finally, public transportation is still a very efficient and ecological means of transportation. By reducing the number of vehicles on the road, the pooling of a means of transportation allows for many trips to be saved.
The impact will be greater if it is a metro or a tramway. Nevertheless, the ongoing transformation of city buses into electric buses will further reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
